Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Four of her siblings belong to her father's ex-married partners. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six when the family moved to Victoria within London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in productions of the school. After she turned 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to pursue a full-time acting career. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dreams came true when she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
