Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco and moved to California at age five. She grew up primarily in Orange County. Her breakthrough came in the year 2015 when she earned her degrees from University of California San Diego. Pernas played small roles on NCIS and Leverage. She then landed the part of Marisa on The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap she was offered the role of Catalina in Jane the Virgin. She speaks four languages and has since appeared in The Brave with Hannah Rivera in addition to The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. The actress played Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure between the years of 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star.
