Rod Wave

Rodarius Marcell Green[2] (born on August 27, 1998) is known as Rod Wave, is an American musician and rapper. His distinctive voice and fusion of hip-hop and R&B is what been his mainstay in soul-trap. The 2019 single "Heart on Ice" was a hit on YouTube, TikTok, and was ranked at number 25 on the Hot 100 chart on Billboard. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (2019) peaked at number 10 in the US Billboard 200. "[8]" Wave's second album"Prayer 4 Love (2020), came in at number 2 on the Billboard 200.[9The album also included the smash single "Rags2Riches", that was a top 12 hit in the Hot 100. The third album SoulFly (2021) was released at the top of the Billboard 200, marking his first chart-topping record. Wave's professional journey began in 2016 with the launch of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. He released several mixtapes independently before signing with Alamo Records. He released his mixtape PTSD on June 14 of 2019, and it featured the track "Heart on Ice". The track was a hit across YouTube, TikTok and reached number 25 in the Billboard Hot 100. The 3rd of April, 2020 Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It was released at the number 2 position on the Billboard 200. The deluxe edition was released on the 7th of August. Nine songs from the album charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including "s" (featuring ATR Son Son),[11][12][13that peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100 and became his highest-charting song. Wave was part of XXL's 2020 Freshman class on August 11 the 11th of August, 2020. In July of 2020, Wave revealed during an interview that he was in the process of putting together his third album, originally scheduled for August 27 20th, 2020. The singer revealed the tracklist for the album SoulFly on March 6 2021. The album includes songs "Street Runner" and "Tombstone" the highest-charting single that reached the top 11 on the Hot 100.
